Tracking calories can be a real pain to start with, but it is an invaluable tool for you to make progress.
So here are some tips and videos (I have kept them short!) to make tracking that bit easier easy.
Remember, you can scan things in rather than having to weigh everything. Use the barcode scanner on certain products and our recipe packs.
Although you can check out an item's nutritional facts by tapping on it in your diary, you can also see this information by flipping your phone into landscape mode. Calories, carbs, fat, protein, sodium, and sugars will appear to the right of the food item.
Setting up reminders to log your food or simply to prompt you to eat that pre workout snack can be super helpful.
Open MyFitnessPal, tap on "More" at the bottom-right, then hit "Reminders." Here you'll see your default reminders for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as your current weight. If you want to change the time you get reminded for a meal, simply tap on the meal to do so.
Rather than logging as you go, why not think about using MFP as a planning tool? Enter in your meals for the next few days. You do not have to enter in every meal and snack but it can help you to see what calories are left after you entered in prepped meals.
These can be a real time saver! Watch the video below on this!

Using the recipe importer is another time saving tip to streamline your tracking. Remember, use MFP to PLAN, not just track.
You can copy your friend's meals across to your diary to save you the time entering all the ingredients.
